icseboard.org is an independent study-materials portal for students, teachers, and parents following the ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) curriculum administered by CISCE. This page explains who runs the site, how we select and verify every resource we publish, and how to reach us for corrections, citations, or takedown requests.
Who runs icseboard.org
icseboard.org is maintained by the ICSE Board Editorial Team — a small group of subject-expert reviewers and curriculum editors who together cover the ICSE Classes 6–10 and ISC Classes 11–12 syllabus. The team includes educators with classroom experience across Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, History, Civics, and Geography. Each subject area is owned by at least one lead reviewer who signs off on every page published under that subject.
We are deliberately running a small, review-first team rather than a large content-farm operation. That choice is reflected in the cadence of new publications (we add one or two verified chapters per week rather than dozens) and in the depth of the chapter-wise solutions we host.
As the editorial team grows and individual contributors are in a position to publish under their own names with full bios and credentials, we will introduce named-author attribution on the subject pages they review. Until then, every page is attributed to the editorial team as a whole, and correctness is the team’s collective responsibility.
Our editorial process
Every study resource on icseboard.org goes through a five-step review pipeline before it appears publicly. We document the process here because we think parents and teachers deserve to know how the material their students rely on was put together.
- Source selection. We only publish resources we can legitimately host. That means publisher-permitted samples, state-approved textbook chapters in the public educational domain, and our own editorial explanations derived from the current CISCE syllabus circular. We do not scrape paid publisher content.
- Syllabus alignment. Before a chapter is written or a PDF is indexed, the subject lead cross-references the CISCE specimen paper and syllabus circular for the current academic session (2026-27 at the time of writing). Any chapter heading, marking-scheme note, or recommended textbook on our site has to match the official ICSE document on record.
- Expert review. A subject-expert reviewer reads the draft page end-to-end. For solution pages, the reviewer re-works the answers independently and compares against the draft. For conceptual explanations, the reviewer checks formulae, diagrams, and worked examples against the ICSE-recommended textbook (ML Aggarwal, Selina, Concise, etc.).
- Annual refresh. Every page carries an “Updated for YYYY-YY academic year” stamp. When CISCE releases a new specimen paper or revises a syllabus, we re-review and re-stamp each affected page. Pages that have not been refreshed in the current cycle are flagged internally and do not appear as “Updated” even if their URL is live.
- Correction workflow. Readers can flag errors at contact@icseboard.org. A verified correction is applied within 48 hours and the change is noted in the revision history of that page.
Subject coverage
We currently host reviewed materials across the following ICSE / ISC subjects. Coverage depth increases the closer a subject sits to the board-exam classes (9, 10, 11, 12).
- Mathematics (Classes 6–12): chapter-wise solutions against ML Aggarwal and Selina, specimen paper walkthroughs, previous-year paper sets with solutions.
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Classes 6–12): conceptual explanations, worked numericals, diagram banks, Concise/Selina chapter solutions, specimen paper coverage.
- English Language & Literature (Classes 6–12): composition guidance aligned to ICSE rubrics, unseen-passage walkthroughs, workbook solutions for drama, poetry, and short-story sections of the ICSE literature canon.
- History, Civics, Geography (Classes 6–10): chapter-wise notes, ISC Sample Question coverage (Class 12), CISCE circular-based short-answer banks.
- Environmental Science, Economics, Computer Applications: syllabus-anchored notes and previous-year paper coverage where CISCE sample material is publicly available.
What we do not do
Being clear about scope is part of our editorial policy.
- We do not run a tuition or coaching service. There is no 1-on-1 homework help, personalised mentoring, or paid answer-key service behind a login.
- We do not publish unverified “guess papers” or predict paper patterns. Every “likely topic” note on the site is sourced from the CISCE syllabus weighting and is labelled as such.
- We do not host pirated publisher content. If you are a publisher and believe any resource on the site is infringing, see the publisher takedown procedure below.
- We are not affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). We are an independent editorial operation. For official ICSE announcements and forms, visit CISCE.org.
Publisher and rights-holder takedown
If you represent a publisher or copyright holder and believe a resource on icseboard.org infringes your rights, email contact@icseboard.org with the subject line Takedown Request — [publisher name]. Include the title of the resource, the URL where it is hosted on our site, and proof of your authority to file the claim. Verified requests are acted on within 48 hours and the affected URL is removed until the claim is resolved.
Advertising, affiliate and funding disclosure
icseboard.org is currently self-funded. We do not accept paid placement in study-guide content — no chapter page ranks a book, app, or coaching service because a vendor paid for it. If we ever introduce display advertising or affiliate links, those placements will be (a) labelled, (b) confined to clearly-demarcated regions of the page that do not appear inside chapter solutions, and (c) disclosed in this section of the About page before they go live.
